On November 28, three governing units of China Highway Society Basalt Fiber Highway Industry Collaborative Innovation Community, Beijing Zhonglu Hui Technology Consulting Co., LTD., Jiangsu Tianlong Basalt Continuous Fiber Co., LTD., and Yangzhou University participated in the Basalt Fiber "Four New" technology research and application exchange meeting held by Guangzhou Pearl River Huangpu Bridge Management Center.
Representatives, experts, and scholars from 18 units, including Jiangsu Communications Holding Co., LTD and its subsidiaries, Shenzhen Investment Holding Co., LTD., Beijing Zhongdi Communications New Material Technology Research Co., LTD., and Zhongjiao Conservation Group, also attended the meeting.
Basalt fiber is one of the four significant fibers focused on the development of China; since the 1990s, under the joint efforts of many scientific research institutions and enterprises, the relevant technical research and industrialization professional level has entered the international advanced ranks, but compared with carbon fiber, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, aramid fiber research and industrialization level is still in a relatively preliminary stage. Based on the experience of the development process of the other three significant fibers, the future development of basalt fibers will have unlimited possibilities and broad prospects.
This exchange is mainly focused on promoting the development of basalt fiber technology, specifically on the research and application of basalt fiber-related technology in civil transportation and safety.
